ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Robert Half is partnering with our client, a well-established organization, in the search for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience and a strong attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-cycle accounts payable role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and payables best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert software if known] is an asset)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Manage full-cycle accounts payable process
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expenses
Prepare and execute payments via cheque, EFT, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system
Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to payables
Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
