POSITION OVERVIEW

This temporary, entry-level role involves performing a broad range of accounting and administrative support tasks, including the ability to process a high volume of invoices daily with accuracy and efficiency. Must be able to also manage additional responsibilities, including timely responses to emails and phone calls, while maintaining consistent attention to detail, effective communications skills, organizational discipline and follow-through.
This position is expected to last approximately 6 to 12 months, beginning with an eight-week, full-time, in-office training period (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Upon successful completion of training, employees may transition to a hybrid work schedule, combining both in-office and remote work arrangements.
This is a hybrid position with required in-office days.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Requirements

  • 2-3 years related field experience is preferred.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including but not limited to: computers, copiers, 10-key adding machine, printers, fax machines and scanners.
  • Ability to type 50+ WPM.
  • Ability to get along well with a diverse staff of employees.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to fluently speak and write the English language.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.

Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of various accounts payable invoices accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process and reconcile monthly payables statements / invoices.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors to ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Work standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
