JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accounts Payable Clerk will work with our accounting department to provide administrative and bookkeeping support and be tasked with updating accounting records with issued invoices, new payments, customer information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounts payable/receivable/billing clerk.
· Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
· Knowledge of accounting software.
· Accuracy and attention to detail.
· Be able and willing to proactively solve challenges through innovation while working with minimal direction and supervision.
· Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting information clearly and concisely.
· Data entry and word processing skills.
· Well organized.

Responsibilities

· Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
· Collecting payments and updating accounts payable and receivable records.
· Collecting and sorting all invoices, credits, bills, and statements.
· Managing and entering trucking tickets.
· Importing scale data.
· Creating and sending invoices and statements to customers.
· Managing account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies.
· Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
· Providing administrative & bookkeeping support.
· Managing & reconciling credit card expenditure & ensuring all transactions have proper documentation.
· Running credit cards & entering credit card data.
· Performing other duties as assigned.
