We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our manufacturing facility in Pryor, OK. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will be primarily responsible for assisting in the day-to-day duties of the Accounts Payable department and cross-training for coverage in additional departments, as required. The position requires good oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize and ability to work with integrated manufacturing systems/ERPs. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain scanning and filing in an organized and efficient way across multiple companies * Utilize computerized accounting software programs (ERP, Excel, Word and Outlook) to perform duties and responsibilities * Input accounts payable invoices into ERP across multiple companies * Verify approval on invoices and check requests using predefined approval processes * 3-way matching * Process and enter invoices and check requests using predefined processes * Create PO’s using predefined processes * Prepare and process checks for multiple companies * Update and maintain vendor database * Assist printing invoices and payment requests from AP email * Understand the nature of expense and properly categorize them within the company chart of accounts * Answer company phones as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Data entry experience and/or good typing and 10 key skills * Good mathematical background * Detail-oriented * Critical thinking/analytical skills * Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision * Ability to work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * 2-5 years hands-on Accounts Payable or Accounting experience * Manufacturing experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
