ABOUT US:

Youings Wholesale is a 140 year old wholesale distribution business based in North Devon. We are a dynamic and growing organisation seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This hybrid role also includes some limited credit control responsibilities, offering a great opportunity to gain wider finance experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Match, batch and code invoices in accordance with company procedures
Manage the AP inbox and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process payment runs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activity
Support the month-end closing process for AP

CREDIT CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor outstanding customer debts and ensure timely collection of payments
Liaise with customers where needed to resolve payment issues and maintain strong customer relationships
Issue reminder letters, statements, and escalate overdue accounts as / if necessary
