Description

DISCOVER THE NEW RITCHIE BROS.

When you join Ritchie Bros., you’ll be part of a diverse, global team that’s focused on delivering great customer experiences. Our culture is centered around people and guided by our core values of Integrity, Unity and Vision. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are passionate about making a difference, we invite you to join our growing team.
For our FinOps team in Breda (NL), we are looking for an Accounts Payable Intern.
We believe that all Accounts Payables interns should have full experience of our processes to get the best learning opportunities. So, you will be responsible for some entities, not only a few tasks. You will be fully accountable for your entities, which means that you will be able to improve the processes and be in touch with our sites/suppliers and other departments. This means that this opportunity is not suitable for a thesis or final dissertation project.
As an accounts payable intern, you will join us for 6 months, during which you will have the valuable opportunity to spend one week with our Accounts Receivable team. This cross-functional experience will provide you with a holistic understanding of our financial operations, ensuring you gain a well-rounded perspective on our organization.
We will provide training with our experts and mentoring to help you to develop your career.

HERE IS WHAT YOU BRING:

You are a motivated student with a strong affinity for numbers and data. Your independent, structured and detail-oriented nature is your working style. You are always looking for new ways to grow as a person and within your area of expertise. On top of that, you never lose your sense of humor. Furthermore, you have:

  • Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
  • Fluent/Advanced English.
  • Availability for at least 6 months (starting from September1st).
Responsibilities
  • Invoice validation and invoice posting.
  • Participate in ongoing projects for AP and process improvement.
  • Support aging, purchase orders, direct debit and prepayment accounts clean-up.
  • Support EMEA region with queries and requests related to Accounts Payable.
During your internship, you will have the chance to make an impact. We challenge you to use your fresh thoughts and come up with potential process improvements.
