POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk with a background in nursing home or long-term care facility accounting. The AP Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring accurate, timely payments in compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and healthcare industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and vendor compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
    Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday.
    Work Location: On-site at our nursing home facility

Responsibilities
  • Accurately process and code invoices in accordance with nursing home chart of accounts and facility procedures.
  • Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date AP files for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve billing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure timely approval of invoices.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and AP aging reports.
  • Ensure all AP functions adhere to healthcare compliance guidelines and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
