Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the procure-to-pay cycle within our organization.
Based in Bothell, Washington, this hybrid (onsite-primary) contract position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to manage financial deadlines, ensure compliance with internal controls, and lead a dedicated team responsible for vendor approval, invoicing, payments, and corporate credit card management. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to ongoing process improvements and system implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance the accounts payable system to accurately reflect the company’s financial activities.
  • Develop and implement internal finance policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance teams to establish goals related to cash forecasting, AP turnover days, and other metrics.
  • Monitor and improve internal financial controls, introducing new systems where necessary.
  • Coordinate annual audit processes with external auditors, ensuring smooth and compliant operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as R& D, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure accurate reporting of operating expenses.
  • Review and validate vendor master data to ensure readiness for system transitions, including addressing duplicate records and payment methods.
  • Assess reporting tools provided by implementation teams to ensure accurate data for month-end accruals.
  • Mentor and manage team members, conducting performance evaluations and fostering growth.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable management, including coding invoices, check runs, and ACH processes.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software, with expertise in automation design and business process design.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with software implementations and data validation processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and audit processes.
