Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of the accounts payable process for a high-tech pharmaceutical and biotech organization. This is a long-term contract position based in Monrovia, California, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast-paced industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy in invoice processing and payment management.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice coding, payment scheduling, and vendor communication.
  • Oversee check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve invoices for proper coding and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline payment workflows.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
  • Monitor and report on accounts payable metrics, providing insights for process optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards in all financial transactions.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation for financial reviews.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable management, including coding invoices and overseeing payment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check run procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and software relevant to accounts payable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal collaboration.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
