As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounts payable team across transactional processing, including general administration duties as well as monitoring, reporting and actioning key financial support duties for both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to follow up queries and resolve them satisfactorily and promptly Demonstrates sound time management and organisational skills which will allow you to actively manage your team Early identification and resolution of problems Knowledge of Office – specifically Excel Flexible working approach Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a varying workload Ability to work well within a team environment Desirable – Prior experience of construction industry Preferred but not essential knowledge of COINS More about the Accounts Payable Manager role… Manage and lead business unit Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, scheduled and ad-hoc payments, and vendor management Accurate processing, coding, and matching of high volume of invoices in accordance with group policies Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving issues with vendors or with VAT or CIS compliance Develop, generate and analyse accounts payable reports, providing insights to senior management on key performance metrics Provide support for cashflow reporting and forecasting Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders (including procurement and commercial) to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, incorporating updates into the accounts payable process Finally, let’s tell you a bit more about us… We build more than homes, we’re making Vistry.
