As an Accounts Payable professional in Southampton within the industrial and manufacturing sector, you'll handle the day-to-day processing of invoices and payments, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time. Your work will play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly by maintaining an organised and efficient accounts payable function.

Description

• Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the system.
• Handle payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Communicate with suppliers to address queries and maintain strong relationships.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable professional should have:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

Job Offer

• A salary of £30,000 to £35,000 dependent on the level of experience.
