About the company Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Limited is a thriving, cutting-edge medical device company with a wide and growing range of highly innovative healthcare products.  We specialise in the fields of Respiratory and Acute Care and Obstructive Sleep Apnea, with our products being sold in more than 120 countries around the world.  About the role Covering a maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer for a period of 12 months fixed term - to provide effective day to day accounts payable services to enable payment control and ensure suppliers are appropriately paid.  Your customer services skills will be well used in this role as you will be liaising with employees regarding invoices and responding to suppliers’ queries. You will be entering accurate and timely data into the systems to enable the analysis and management of financial information. Prepare reconciliation of vendor accounts due for payments. Filing and administrative duties are also key aspects of this role. Who you are Ideally you have at least 1-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable, but if you are a recent graduate accountant, with a keen willingness to learn then we are interested in hearing from you.  Your day-to-day challenges will include prioritising the volume of invoices that you receive and following up with both vendors and FPH employees. Impressive communication skills are essential, as you interact with people across the business from Manufacturing to Marketing, as well as external vendors. This role would suit someone who thrives in complexity, embraces challenge, and brings both grit and grace to the table., but a positive attitude and good sense of humour will see you reap the benefits of in-house career progression opportunities and a chance to learn from the best.  Problem solving skills, good judgement and a professional manner will see you being successful in this role. Skills and Experience Ideally 1-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts general. Tertiary education, with an accounting major is advantageous Experience in the use of electronic accounts payable systems Good knowledge of Excel and Word Data Entry and Reconciliation skills Familiarity with ERP systems preferably SAP Knowledge of overseas payments Applications of bank transfer software Advanced processing and administration skills Excellent communication and customer services skills Good attention to detail Efficient organisation and prioritisation skills   Working With Us Care to join a supportive environment?
