This role sits at the heart of our financial operations, managing the end-to-end accounts payable process for FIRST Security nationwide. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping systems running efficiently, this is an opportunity to make your mark.   About the Role As the Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of invoices and payments, maintaining accurate vendor records, and supporting reporting across the business. You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial engine running smoothly — supporting not just our Finance team, but also Operations, HR, and external partners.   Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Managing AP and accounts inboxes for invoices and statements Processing invoices through Readsoft and ExFlow systems Performing regular domestic and international payment runs Reconciling vendor accounts and resolving discrepancies Preparing uploads for staff expenses, credit cards, and travelcards Setting up new vendors and maintaining documentation for audit compliance Ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting for trade creditors Supporting the banking and receivables team when needed Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice queries   What You’ll Bring   Essential: At least 2 years' experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Familiarity with accounting and invoice processing systems (ExFlow/Readsoft desirable) Strong time management and prioritisation skills A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills Confidence in liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders Preferred: Certificate-level qualification in accounting, finance or office administration Experience working in a multi-site, service-based business environment   Why FIRST Security?
