How you’ll make an impact:

• Prepare and review routine month-end and quarter-end closing tasks and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review routine monthly and quarterly SOX controls.
• Process and review customer and vendor related tasks.
• Suggest improvements to the accounts payable and accounts receivable end-to-end processes.
• Find solutions for operational accounts payable and receivable problems, including escalated queries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across units to improve operational processes, and respond to standardized daily task audit requests from Internal and External Audit.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• A qualification in accounting or equivalent practical experience, with a solid grounding in accounts payable and receivable operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft D365 or a comparable ERP system, and confidence working with data and reporting to handle advanced information requests.
• The judgment to work within broad guidelines with very little oversight, prioritizing complex or escalated tasks, recommending better ways of working, and reviewing or guiding colleagues earlier in their careers.
• Strong collaboration skills paired with a genuine learning mindset: you build good working relationships across teams, seek out feedback, and keep looking for ways to develop and grow. You’re comfortable working in English, trivago’s company language.
• A performance mindset: you set ambitious goals for yourself and have the determination and resilience to follow through and achieve them.
