The Accounts Payable Specialist works out of our Mesa, AZ office (this position works on-site in office, it’s not remote or hybrid). The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely information being entered into the company’s accounting software for outgoing payments, while continuously maintaining proper accounting functions and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Match vendor invoices to their appropriate product receiving documentation and process for payment in accordance with company guidelines
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate mismatches in payments, invoices & credits
  • Communicate with vendors to assure timely resolution of invoicing/statement mismatches
  • Work with company warehouse staff from other locations to fix product receiving errors in accordance with shipping documentation
  • Assist other Accounts Payable staff with essential job functions

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in similar position including knowledge of accounting principles & functions
  • Prior experience in ERP systems or other accounting software
  • Ability to grasp multi-level Accounts Payable processes
  • Exercise positive vendor relations and constructive problem solving
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Teams knowledge required
  • Team player who works productively with all departments and customers
  • Continuously upgrade skills and knowledge to improve personal effectiveness, and provide training & guidance to less experienced/skilled personnel
  • Possess strong time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal positively with others
  • Has sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Superb accuracy & attention to detail along with superior organizational skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment with ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
