POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an entry-level position, this could be a great career opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to develop a career in finance and accounting! The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and assist with various accounting functions, contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department.

  • This role is based out of our Iselin, NJ office. The position is hybrid, but the will require the the person to work in the office 3 days per week
  • This is a full-time position offering full benefits, a competitive salary, paid training and other compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar administrative role is a plus, but not required for this entry-level position.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics GP or other accounting ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and verify incoming invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage and maintain the accounts payable ledger, ensuring proper allocation of expenses.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Oversee and reconcile company credit card expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate tracking of expenditures.
  • Review and reconcile use tax on a monthly basis, ensuring proper allocation and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable for the UK office, including invoice processing, payment schedules, and handling multi-currency transactions.
  • Support VAT analysis for the UK office to ensure compliance with international tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounts payable processes and drive automation initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance team.
