ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST McGrath Family of Dealerships McGrath Family of Dealerships is a fast-paced, customer-focused automotive dealership committed to excellence in both sales and service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely collection of receivables. POSITION SUMMARY The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing payments, managing customer accounts, reconciling statements, and supporting the overall financial operations of the dealership. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a high-volume environment. Our accounting team is continuously improving processes through technology and automation, and this role will help identify efficiencies while utilizing modern tools to streamline routine tasks. SCHEDULE Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM WHAT YOU’LL DO • Post and reconcile daily payments including cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic payments • Monitor and manage outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections • Communicate professionally with customers regarding account questions and payment inquiries • Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections efforts • Prepare and send customer statements and invoices • Reconcile schedules and research discrepancies • Work closely with the sales, finance, parts, and service departments to ensure accurate billing • Maintain accurate records within the dealership management system (DMS) • Utilize accounting tools, reporting systems, and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy • Assist with month-end closing and reporting processes • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed REQUIREMENTS • 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience preferred • Dealership accounting experience and familiarity with DMS systems is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Professional communication and customer service skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset • Dependable, reliable, and committed to maintaining accuracy WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE • Family-oriented and supportive work environment • Leadership that values your contributions and supports your success • Competitive pay based on experience • Health benefits and 401(k) options • Paid time off and holidays • Opportunities for growth within the McGrath Family of Dealerships We believe great businesses are built by great people.
