TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Continuing education in accounting or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Management: Maintain accurate vendor records in accounting software and ensure compliance with Petticoat-Schmitt procedures.
  • Invoice Processing: Properly receive, enter, and track invoices for timely approval and payment.
  • Bookkeeping Accuracy: Apply knowledge of the PSCC chart of accounts to code invoices correctly and perform bookkeeping functions with precision.
  • Problem Solving: Handle AP questions and concerns from suppliers and subcontractors; contact vendors to resolve invoice issues quickly.
  • Research & Reconciliation: Review vendor accounts, identify discrepancies or errors, and correct inaccurate postings.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Collaborate with other teams to ensure all invoices are processed, tracked, and paid promptly.
  • Inbox Monitoring: Manage multiple email accounts for invoice submissions, ensuring no delay in processing.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and capture vendor discounts unless otherwise directed.
  • Compliance: Ensure vendor payments are supported by proper partial and final releases before issuing funds.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support accounting operations.
