KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Sound PC and computer skills, and organizational skills. Professional appearance and good telephone manner. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced multi-task office environment.
Preferred Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalency; preferred at least 4 years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Resolve problem invoices for payment (i.e. quantities, discrepancies on shortages, overages, and pricing discrepancies.)
  • Process debits and credits.
  • Researches all credit balances on accounts.
  • Examines all vendor statements to identify credits matched to debits, applies for all unidentified credits.
  • Maintains vendor data and forwards necessary change information to A/P Manager.
  • Performs light data entry.
  • Maintains professional reserve when called upon by vendors for payment and with coworkers.
  • Any other task that may be assigned from time to time.
