Our client, a respected Canadian not-for-profit organization, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the organization’s financial processes operate efficiently. Your duties will include:

• Processing high-volume invoices accurately and on time, with a strong attention to detail.
• Managing expense reports, purchase orders, and vendor payments in compliance with organizational policies.
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring data integrity.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with month-end close processes related to accounts payable.
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors, employees, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years in an accounts payable role, preferably in a non-profit or government-funded organization.
• Education: A diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or local Canadian alternatives) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with non-profit finance regulations, fund accounting standards, and relevant Canadian tax compliance.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
