We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Concord, Massachusetts. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations by managing invoice processing, coding, and payment distribution. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate account coding and timely payment.
• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and oversee check runs.
• Maintain detailed records of accounts payable activities for auditing and reconciliation purposes.
• Collaborate with vendors to address and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for financial transactions.
• Assist in month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
• Monitor and improve efficiency in invoice processing workflows.
• Support the team with ad hoc financial reporting as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice coding and payment processing.
• Proficiency with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently.
• Familiarity with financial software and systems.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
