We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in Gloucester, Ontario. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing our accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and experience using QuickBooks Desktop to contribute to a dynamic construction environment.

• Input and verify payroll data to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Match, batch, and code invoices while maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Process employee expense reports and handle payment distributions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies effectively.
• Collect and manage timesheets to support payroll processing.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage accounts payable tasks and maintain records.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors to resolve payment issues.
• Prepare and process cheque payments and electronic transfers.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and familiarity with other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment processing.
• Experience with ERP systems and tools such as Concur or ADP is an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication abilities to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the construction industry is considered a plus.
