We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records in compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various financial software.

• Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies related to accounts payable.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist in month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounting records.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for data entry and financial analysis.
• Support payroll management tasks as needed, including data entry related to employee benefits administration.
