Job Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. This role is based in Austin, Texas, with a hybrid work schedule. Key Responsibilities Review, code, and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner Ensure proper approvals are obtained in accordance with company policies Prepare and process weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, check) Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships Monitor AP aging and ensure payments are made within agreed terms Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations Maintain organized and accurate records of all AP transactions Support audits by providing requested documentation Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency Other projects as assigned Qualifications: 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel Strong communication and problem-solving skills Basic understanding of accounting principles Additional Qualifications that are nice to have: Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment Familiarity with expense management tools (e.g., Concur, Expensify, Navan) Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field At SurePoint, we know our people are our greatest strength.
