EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-5 years experience in A/P. Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The primary function of this position is to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the assurance that all payments of goods and services necessary for the basic operation of SHP are achieved. To work with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have a significant negative effect on SHP.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enter approved invoices and expense reports into Mozart daily, ensuring proper approval process.
• Process two check runs per week and print checks daily by request.
• Work closely with Purchasing and Receiving departments by researching and resolving discrepancies with vendors and initiate the proper correspondence.
• Reconcile accrued expense accounts on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
• Organize and maintain contracts with outside vendors.
• Work with Vendors to obtain W-9’s and tax information before they begin a project.
• Prepare report for 1099’s annually.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP.
