ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST ABOUT US Wilson Equipment Company has been serving Kentucky for over 125 years. With a reputation built on trust, service, and results, we operate out of five locations across the state: Lexington, Corbin, Prestonsburg, Louisville, and Elizabethtown. JOB DESCRIPTION Wilson Equipment Company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our Lexington location. This employee needs to be well organized, experienced with accounting and good with customers! JOB TASKS * Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs * Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc. * Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances * Maintaining historical records * Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks * Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit * Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports * Continuing to improve the payment process * Other duties as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 3 years related experience * High school diploma * Strong attention to detail * Motivated, self-starter who can also work well on a team * High sense of urgency * Ability to multi-task  * Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and address issues as they arise * Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting software DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree * Accounting experience  * Bookkeeping experience APPLICATION AND EEO/AA INFORMATION Applicants must apply online.
