We are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations. The Senior Accountant responsibilities include, but not limited to, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating and/or leading a team of accountants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, with experience in accounting software preferred.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
• Ability to analyze discrepencies and resolve issues efficiently to maintain financial integrity
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• A positive and energetic attitude

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, verify, and process invoices from vendors, ensuring they match purchase orders and receipts to avoid discrepancies.
• Schedule and execute payments through checks, ACH, or wire transfers, ensuring all financial obligations are met on time to maintain vendor relationships.
• Maintain accurate financial records of all transactions, including invoices, payments, and any relevant documentation for audits and financial reporting.
• Interact with vendors to resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies, fostering strong relationships to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable, providing insights into cash flow and budgeting for management.
• Assisting in month end closing
