Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse data to create category management approaches that deliver measurable savings
• Develop procurement approach strategies to secure agreement to proposed solutions
• Create and manage tenders/auctions from start to finish
• Develop negotiation strategies and undertake negotiations to deliver best commercial results
• Interpret and present tender/auction/negotiations results to key stakeholders to support decision making
• Use of leading-edge tools, technologies and processes to deliver rapid cost savings and improvements in performance
• Sourcing suppliers from the UK and Worldwide to meet needs
• Deliver projects within agreed timescales
• Continuous review of client spend data to identify and negotiate quick wins

Skills & Experience:

• 1-4 years’ procurement experience
• Strong academic (graduate) background
• Excellent analytical skills
• Competent Excel user with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Keen commercial business sense
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Good negotiation skills and natural persuasion
• Some understanding of supply chain and procurement practices
