Your role At Allens, our business teams are specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges. You will be a part of our Finance operations team based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. The team is responsible for managing the firm’s financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. They play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial transactions. As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team (4 direct reports), ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Lead and manage the invoice and expense management process through Emburse, applying escalation frameworks for outstanding or unsubmitted invoices and expenses Conduct routine ledger reviews, support annual audit requests, perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial regulations Engage effectively with stakeholders across departments in resolving accounts payable related issues Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Foster a positive, collaborative and customer-focused team culture Collaborate with the Finance Project Manager to identify and drive process improvements, optimise efficiency and ensure compliance with policies and procedures This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. About you You will have: Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience managing accounts payable functions Advanced skills in Accounts Payable and expense management systems, with a solid understanding of end-to-end AP processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with moderate to advanced Excel skills highly regarded Strong analytical, problem-solving expertise and a track record of driving process improvements Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced professional services environment, delivering high-quality outcomes Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others Your development In joining Allens, you will receive unparalleled learning and development opportunities.
