We are seeking an organized, analytical, and highly ethical Accounts Payable professional to support the Accounting Team with the company’s day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities include accounts payable processing, vendor management, cash handling, financial reporting support, and assisting with month-end accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and discretion. All candidates must successfully complete a background check as part of the hiring process. Job Responsibilities include but not limited to: Process accounts payable invoices and maintain vendor files Handle a high volume of invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments through checks, online payments, and vendor portals Complete vendor applications and maintain positive vendor relationships Obtain and maintain W-9 forms and assist with year-end 1099 preparation Perform general cashiering duties including: Counting cash drops Preparing bank deposits Auditing cashier banks Reconciling cash and checks Maintaining petty cash balances Audit and reimburse departmental house banks while maintaining accounting balances Issue and maintain purchase orders Assist with month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting projects Identify and report discrepancies or non-compliance related to cash handling procedures Support clerical and administrative accounting functions as needed Compensation & Benefits: Pay Range: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour depending on experience Vacation & Holiday pay 401(k) Matching Health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & EAP Aflac Supplemental Team Member Discount GROW WITH US Born from the elegant merger of the culinary and hospitality worlds, Appellation is much more than a typical hotel company. Requirements Minimum 3 years full cycle Accounts Payable experience Strong understanding of accounting operations and financial reporting Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required Experience with Maestro, Sage Intacct, and Toast preferred Ten-key and typing proficiency required Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Dependable and self-motivated professional Team player with excellent communication skills High ethical standards and accountability Positive attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoice handling, vendor relationship management, and 1099 preparation. Perform general cashiering duties such as counting cash drops, preparing bank deposits, and auditing house banks.
