ABOUT US:

Avsar Group is a dynamic and growing organization specializing in [brief company sector or industry, e.g., disability services, NDIS-related services]. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts and Payroll Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in NDIS invoicing and a strong background in accounting and payroll management.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Accounts and Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, processing payroll, and handling NDIS invoicing for the organization. You will work closely with our finance team and other departments to ensure smooth and accurate financial and payroll processes. This role is part-time, offering flexibility with 3 days a week and 5 hours each day.
Key Responsibilities:

NDIS Invoicing:

  • Prepare, review, and submit NDIS invoices in compliance with NDIS guidelines and requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of NDIS claims and payments.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring all claims are paid promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of NDIS billing codes, funding categories, and plan management.

Accounts Management:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.

Payroll Processing:

  • Process weekly or fortnightly payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and superannuation regulations.
  • Address employee payroll queries and discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee leave, deductions, and entitlements.

General Accounting:

  • Process financial transactions, ensure correct coding, and maintain ledgers.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as needed.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all financial processes are compliant with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit necessary compliance reports to government bodies, if required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts and payroll management, ideally within the NDIS or disability services sector.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS invoicing, billing practices, and funding structures.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and payroll systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable.

Work Schedule:

  • 3 days per week (flexible days), 5 hours per day.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
