JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable Associate plays a key role in supporting the company’s cash flow and credit risk management by conducting daily collection activities. This includes reaching out to customers via telephone and email to follow up on outstanding balances, resolve invoice or account-related inquiries, and ensure timely payment. Responsibilities also include issuing account statements and collection notices, resending or clarifying invoices, and investigating billing discrepancies or disputes to facilitate prompt resolution.
This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable and collections while ensuring adherence to the contract terms and conditions.
Requirements:

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in high-volume, business-to-business collections
  • Solid understanding of current best practices in collections and accounts receivable
  • Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and collaborate in a high-velocity, performance-driven environment across all levels of the organization

Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to foster professional, courteous relationships and ensure timely payment
  • Investigate and resolve account or invoice discrepancies; provide invoice copies as needed
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements and collection notices
  • Assess delinquent accounts and escalate cases to external counsel when appropriate
  • File and monitor bankruptcy proofs of claim
  • Review monthly reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Promptly report potential payment risks to management
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
