Our client, a well-established real estate organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their finance team in Halifax, NS. This is a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Process and post tenant payments (EFT, cheques, credit cards)
• Maintain accurate tenant account records and issue invoices
• Monitor and follow up on overdue balances with professionalism
• Prepare deposits and reconcile bank transactions
• Generate AR aging reports and assist with monthly financial statements
• Ensure rent billing complies with lease agreements
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience, ideally in real estate or property management in Canada
• Proficiency with property management software, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
