Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage a portfolio of 400 accounts. Your role involves compiling, processing, and maintaining accounts receivable records while ensuring the timely and accurate posting of cash receipts. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 400 accounts receivable once training is completed. Retrieve ACH information from bank websites and post cash receipts. Compile, process, and maintain accounts receivable records. Deposit and post tenant cash receipts the day of receipt or the following morning if received at the end of the day. Review postings by other AR Associates for accuracy within three days to ensure SOX compliance. Ensure all cash receipts are posted by the 1st, 6th, 11th, and last day of the month. Apply all prepaid balances no later than the 16th of the month. Notify the Accounting Manager of any constraints impacting the depositing and posting of tenant receipts. Collaborate with Lease Administrators and Property Managers on delinquent tenant accounts. Undertake special projects as assigned. Essential Skills 1+ years of accounts receivable experience, including cash receipt posting. Proficiency in basic Excel functions. Professional demeanor with the ability to ask questions, take notes, and work independently after a short shadowing period. Experience in real estate accounting, cash application, MRI software, and reconciliation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Accounting degree. Experience with real estate/property accounting. Proficiency in MRI software. Familiarity with MS Teams. Work Environment The position requires working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, fully in-office due to receivables arriving by mailed checks.
