JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in supporting dealership operations and ensuring timely collections.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred)
  • 2 years of automotive accounting experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with dealership management system, Reynolds & Reynolds, is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Process daily cash, check, and credit card receipts
  • Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding billing issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with dealership policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as, wholesales, stocking in vehicles, dealer trades, courtesy delivery, petty cash, and reconcile schedules.
