Description
The Opportunity: We are looking for an AR Clerk who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. You will work closely with our Accounting Team as we expand across us US and Canadian operations. What You Will Do: Manage the full invoicing and billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of customer invoices, verifying billing details, and managing recurring schedules. Process and accurately apply all customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards), reconciling daily batches, and resolving any payment discrepancies. Conduct comprehensive account reconciliation, maintaining accurate AR aging reports, investigating payment and invoice discrepancies, and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure financial statement accuracy. Lead collections and customer relations by monitoring outstanding balances, following up on overdue accounts, enforcing credit policies, and professionally resolving billing disputes, including negotiating payment plans when necessary. Generate and maintain all required AR reports (including aging schedules and collections status) and organized documentation for invoices, payments, correspondence, and audit support. Drive continuous process improvement by identifying workflow enhancements, implementing automation tools for efficiency, and staying informed about AR best practices and relevant accounting regulations. What You Bring: Education: High school diploma required; a degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or as an AR clerk. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and communication skills for professional customer interaction.
