About the role As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you’ll handle a variety of tasks to support our Finance Team in processing and maintaining accurate financial records. You will be responsible for processing customer invoices, managing incoming payments, and following up with customers on payment status. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, responsive, efficient, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do Accounts Receivable: Generate and send out customer invoices based on sales orders or agreements. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments. Process incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Maintain accurate records of customer payment history and assist with collections as needed. Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to address billing inquiries or issues. Maintain a professional, customer service attitude with both internal and external customers, including monitoring and responding to inquiries in a shared accounts receivable email inbox. General Duties: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes. Provide support during financial audits and assist with financial reporting. Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent — additional certification or education in accounting or finance is a plus One to three years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel — experience with NetSuite is a plus Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality
Responsibilities
