FULL-TIME ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE POSITION – METRO TRUCK GROUP, STONEY CREEK, ON.

The Metro Truck Group is a full-service centre for all heavy truck and trailer needs, providing a large base of services across ten convenient locations. We are rapidly growing and, in our expansion, we are looking to add to our AR team at our Head Office & Elite Dealership residing in Stoney Creek.
The Accounts Receivable clerk is responsible for aiding in the management the company’s receivables, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle financial transactions and reports efficiently.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An Accounting / Business Accounting Diploma considered strong asset
  • 2-5 years of AR experience
  • Competent computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to be adaptive in a fast-paced office environment
  • A successful candidate will possess both excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • A valid driver’s license with/or reliable transportation to and from the office Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions
  • Politely and promptly respond to customer inquiries
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and work with customers to ensure prompt payment
  • Process payments and apply them to the correct accounts
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with the sales and service departments to address billing inquiries and disputes
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts and collections
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable
  • Maintain customer files and ensure all necessary documentation is accurately recorded

· Perform accounting functions for various branches and/or subsidiaries

  • Commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work alongside co-workers, and management in a cooperative manner
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
  • Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff
  • General housekeeping duties
