Are you an accounts receivable organizational wiz? We need your skill set! We are looking for that amazing human who can bring calm, organization and innovation to our very busy accounts receivable corner of our finance department. This is a full cycle AR position. If you are just starting your accounting career, this is a great place to start!
Who are we? We are a globally sourced lifestyle furniture supplier, designing and sourcing unique and affordable furniture for today’s eclectic home. The line has grown to 1000+ products featuring a full range of upholstery, motion, accent chairs, occasional, dining and bedroom furniture.

You bring:

  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits and credits.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Ability to confidently communicate over phone and email with customers about their account balance and making payment.
  • Ability to develop rapport with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail including self-check process.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with that strong attention to detail and accuracy. In other words – being super picky about details to the point of being annoying.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Bill.com is preferred.
  • Using your critical thinking skills to call out errors, understand the cause and take corrective action – being an accounting show off.
  • Be able to multitask, adhere to deadlines, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate ability to work independently and within a team environment. In other words, working in a super busy environment, keeping on task, and not losing your cool.
  • Once trained, the ability to take your job, and be the master of it.

A day may look like:

  • Send customer invoices.
  • Post customer payments to multiple systems.
  • Research short payments, over payments, balance discrepancies.
  • Audit account balances ensuring that balances match in all systems.
  • Call and email customers to secure payment for past due invoices.
  • Generate reports and analyze account balances and credit worthiness.
  • Work with the operations department to hold shipment and release shipments as credit status dictates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of accounts receivable full cycle experience
  • Critical Thinking and “Intellectual Curiosity” to recognize errors and understand the cause.
  • Computer skills to include strong background with Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • The ability to take corrective action
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Be able to multitask, adhere to deadlines, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
  • Ability to conduct basic accounting research and to identify issues
