Accounts Receivable

This is a fully office-based role in Buntingford SG9 you’ll need to be able to drive and commute to the office reliably.

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional for a well-established, forward-thinking business within a wider international group.

Responsibilities:

• Generating and issuing client invoices accurately and on time
• Monitoring and recording incoming payments
• Reconciling accounts receivable balances and resolving discrepancies
• Managing client queries relating to invoices, payments and credit terms
• Producing regular AR ageing and status reports
• Proactively following up overdue accounts and managing collections
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date receivables records
• Working closely with the wider Finance team to support smooth day-to-day operations
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities
• Building strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve AR processes and procedures
• Ensuring all activity complies with relevant financial regulations and company policies

Experience Needed

• Proven experience managing an AR ledger and chasing outstanding payments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Experience working across multiple countries, entities or international branches would be advantageous
• Good Excel and general systems skills
