ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a leading provider of specialized insurance services is looking for an Accounts Receivable & Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team for a 4 month contract with the possibility of extension/ permanent role.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Receivable & Finance Assistant will be responsible for managing receivables, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with internal coordination between departments. This role offers a mix of day-to-day operational tasks and higher-level financial support responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or AR roles preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large sets of data
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements
  • Comfortable working across departments, including finance, operations, and IT
  • Strong organizational skills and a customer-focused mindset
Responsibilities
  • Process incoming payments accurately, both electronically and manually
  • Maintain financial records and general ledger for the organization’s insurance operations
  • Review and follow up on outstanding accounts; liaise with internal teams and brokers to resolve issues
  • Conduct regular AR aging analysis and assist with decisions on overdue accounts
  • Monitor broker payments and implement credit control measures
  • Provide timely and professional support to brokers, including handling refunds and account updates
  • Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support annual audits and ad hoc requests from auditors and actuaries
  • Help with onboarding new brokers and ensure all compliance standards are met
  • Back up team members on tasks such as claims payments and month-end reporting
  • Participate in system improvement projects and other business initiatives
