JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee our accounts receivable department. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial concepts, and proficiency in various accounting software. You will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role within public accounting or corporate accounting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including double entry bookkeeping and account analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with Quicken is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical collection processes, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices is advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; familiarity with 10 key typing is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze financial data effectively while demonstrating strong math skills. This position requires a proactive individual who can lead a team while ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
  • Oversee account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft for effective financial management.
  • Conduct regular analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement collection strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve revenue cycle management processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues related to billing or payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including journal entries and debits & credits.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in accounts receivable management, medical billing, CPT coding, and ICD-10 terminology.
