Description

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field. Three to four years work experience in accounts receivable.
  • Working knowledge of billing types inclusive but not limited to Medicaid, OPWDD, SED and third party insurance.
  • Working knowledge of accounts receivable and billing software applications required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with a mininimum intermediate level proficiency in Excel required.
  • Working knowledge of Social Security and Medicaid Waiver regulations preferred.
  • Experience working with Great Plains and Fund EZ preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have visual acuity to read monitor, calculator display and reports.
  • Ability to access the entire work location.
  • Manual dexterity to use a calculator, telephone and keyboard.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift at most 20 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under all circumstances.
    The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the oversight and process of the billing function. The Billing Coordinator reports to this position. The primary goal is to bill funding sources within regulated time restrictions for services, receive and post payments, and record and reconcile billing data on a monthly basis. This accounting work involves an in depth understanding of the billing requirements and internal processes, as well as the ability to understand and follow generally accepted accounting principles in the reconciliation, review and reporting of the various general ledger accounts that relate to the function. An understanding of agency, human resource, and department policies and procedures is required to fulfill this function.
