THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our growing Finance team in Manchester. While this is a team leader role with one direct report, it is also highly hands-on: you’ll spend around 75% of your time actively managing day-to-day collections, bookkeeping, and resolving client queries, alongside overseeing the receivables function. You’ll also work closely with our Head Office Finance team in Australia to align on processes and reporting.

• Lead the UK accounts receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Supervise and support one direct report, ensuring high performance and engagement.
• Be a hands-on member of the team by directly chasing debtors, resolving credit queries, and handling bookkeeping tasks.
• Respond quickly and professionally to client billing and credit queries.
• Monitor debtor balances, prepare reports, and escalate risks to the Head of Finance in Australia.
• Collaborate with the Finance team in Australia to ensure alignment with group processes and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes while maintaining excellent client service.
