Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting our mission by ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent part-time role, working 20 hours per week, with flexibility around days. As the Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a clean, current accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the Finance Manager with the accurate processing and reporting of financial data. You’ll work closely with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders, including individuals, schools, Ed-connect, NDIS and NDIS plan managers, to minimise loss of income and improve financial outcomes for the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee timely collection of trade debtors and follow up overdue accounts.
  • Process NDIS bookings, invoice generation, upload to the NDIS portal, and reconcile receipts.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Customer Care, Intake, Allied Health) to assist in debt collection.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, or SMS for invoices outstanding over 30 days.
  • Provide history and recommendations for accounts overdue by 60+ days, including escalation or write-off.
  • Participate in monthly reviews with stakeholders to address collection challenges and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare aged debtors and collection reports for management.
  • Perform manual cash matching and take credit card payments.
  • Liaise with external collection agencies as needed.
