Description

The Opportunity

Our client is a highly successful business operating within an interesting and exciting sector. With an established market presence, a reputation for innovation and continued growth, they offer a stable and engaging environment where employees are valued and encouraged to contribute.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced AR Officer to join their friendly and supportive finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will see you take responsibility for the day-to-day Accounts Receivable function, ensuring customer invoicing, payment allocations and collections are managed accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, autonomy and interaction with stakeholders across the business. You will be joining a team that values initiative, attention to detail and a willingness to improve existing processes.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations
  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices in accordance with agreed terms and timelines
  • Calculating and processing commissions, ensuring accuracy against contractual agreements
  • Monitoring outstanding accounts and proactively managing debtor collections
  • Allocating customer payments and reconciling receipts to the general ledger
  • Responding to customer account enquiries and resolving billing discrepancies
  • Providing assistance with Accounts Payable and other finance activities when required
  • Contributing to improvements in finance processes, systems and reporting, including opportunities for automation

About You

We are seeking an experienced and reliable finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of their responsibilities and working as part of a close-knit team.

Ideally, you will offer:

  • Proven experience in a dedicated Accounts Receivable or broader Finance Officer position
  • Strong reconciliation, invoicing and debtor management skills
  • Experience working with commissions or complex customer arrangements
  • Confidence using accounting software
  • Sound Microsoft Excel skills, with Power BI exposure an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions
  • A proactive mindset and an interest in improving processes through technology and automation

If you are an experienced AR Officer who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys building relationships and is looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity, we would welcome your application.
