About the Opportunity: Tucows is seeking an Accounting Specialist - A/R to join our Finance Shared Services team during an exciting period of growth. This role offers broad exposure across the Finance group, covering full-cycle Accounts Receivable, system support, internal documentation and compliance, treasury functions, and reconciliations. You’ll gain experience working in a fast-paced, multi-company, multi-currency environment. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (75%) Perform daily collections through emails and calls for past-due invoices for our various entities. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding billing, collections, and A/R matters. Ensure all payment applications are performed with a high level of accuracy on a timely basis. Ensure timely distribution of account statements and invoices to facilitate payments. Set up and maintain customer billing and accounts. Follow up on failed payments and manage charge-back documentation. Assist customers with accessing and updating their account information in various systems. Prepare journal entries and month-end account reconciliations. Handle all customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. System Automation, Migration & Troubleshooting (10%) Assist with the automation of various tasks including migrations to increase work efficiencies. Support the product team in an agile environment for system transitions. Collaborate with multiple teams to streamline the migration process. Identify and troubleshoot issues, offering solutions as needed. Treasury Support (10%) Provide necessary reporting to the Treasury department regarding customer balances and cash allocations. Generate statistical reports related to payment processing. Documentation & Compliance (5%) Contribute to the creation of Finance Shared Services policies and procedures. Support external audit activities and internal controls review/testing. Qualifications: Proven experience managing full-cycle Accounts Receivable and customer billing functions. Strong understanding of debits and credits as they relate to Accounts Receivable. Comfortable working with ERP and business intelligence systems. Ability to multitask in a multi-entity, multi-system environment. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Collaborative team player with a proactive approach. The base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $68,800 USD for US residents OR $58,100 - $68,300 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
