Description

Job Description:

The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance team with daily accounting activities, financial record keeping, invoice processing, reconciliations, and administrative finance tasks. The successful candidate will receive exposure to a broad range of finance operations and will work closely with experienced finance professionals.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organized, comfortable working with numbers, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing supplier invoices and employee expense claims.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices.
  • Assist with tracking outstanding payments and following up when required.
  • Perform basic bank and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Support the Finance team during month-end closing activities.
  • Assist with preparing financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain records of company expenses and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with petty cash management and expense tracking.
  • Support VAT documentation and compliance activities.
  • Help ensure finance processes and records are maintained accurately.
  • Respond to internal finance-related queries and provide administrative support.
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and tasks as required.



Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates currently pursuing professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are encouraged to apply.



Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, internships, or relevant coursework.
  • Internship experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
  • Experience working with accounting software is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
