SEMI SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – £27,000 TO £30,000 – NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME

THE ROLE:

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s clients, working closely with senior accountants and partners. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements for limited companies (FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, and FRS 105), sole traders, and partnerships
• Preparing corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Completing VAT returns and providing bookkeeping support to clients
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and offer financial insights
• Assisting with audit and compliance tasks where required
• Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing feedback

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• AAT qualification or be actively studying towards ACA/ACCA
• A minimum of two years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• A solid understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102 (including Section 1A)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a team environmen
