Accounts Senior - Newcastle
Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a highly reputable and growing firm of chartered accountants in Newcastle who are seeking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team.
As an Accounts Senior, you will play an integral role within the accounts team, supporting managers and partners while taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to further develop their career in practice within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for a wide range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Assisting in the supervision, training, and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Reviewing the work of juniors, providing feedback, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaising directly with clients to build and maintain strong professional relationships.Working closely with managers and partners on more complex assignments.

Requirements:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • Either AAT, ICAS, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Experience of working in an Accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • A dedicated team player, and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
  • Keen to become part of a dynamic team
